Where can I find my "Student Reference Number"?

I'm trying to apply for SAAS (Scottish funding for tuition fees and student loans). However, there's a bit it asks for my "Student Reference Number" stating that it is an 8-digit number on my awards notice.

Although, I've checked all my emails and letters from UCAS and the only code I can find is the "Personal ID" which in this case is 10 digits.

The letters from my university also have seperate "Student Number", however this is only 7 digits.

I'm really confused. I can't even find anything on the UCAS website about it.

If it's anything like Student Finance Wales, visit the website and request it using the link similar to finding your lost password - you should be offered two options, to reset your password or request your reference number

Have you had to apply through SAAS before? If not then you may not have a number - I didn't. It said they would assign me one at the end of the application process if I didn't enter one, which they did and they've already contacted me to say they'll pay my tuition for the 2012-2013 session so I'm assuming I was right in thinking I didn't have one already.

That was the problem. It gave me the number after I completed it, BUT I was jumping too far ahead and editing my personal details before actually completing the application. All done now though.
